Marko-B
Music Style: Underground House
Influences: DJ Sneak, Roger S, Derek
Carter, Armand Van Helden, Yousef,
Bert Lavan.
Marko-B started Dj’ing
back in 1996 with a large group of friends while the Drum&Bass
scene was still in its prime in urban London. Marko
started to take his DJ career more seriously when he accompanied
his older brother DJ Safe to a national DJ
competition. After witnessing the devastation caused on the
dance floor by his brother, Marko decided to further his career
as a DJ by entering a competition for himself, and ended up
winning the contest which was held at the infamous London
club Heaven.
After the buzz of the competition had started
to die down, Marko teamed up with his brother to form SmokinGroove.
From day one, SmokinGroove took off in London in a big way.
Within a year, Marko was
asked to host his own show on now legendary Freek
101.8 Fm. The show went on for three and a half years,
and in its time featured some of the worlds biggest DJ’s
and producers and not to mention was broadcasted twice weekly.

In 2001 Marko decided to kick start his own

and this is where Marko really began to fine tune
his sound into what it is today.
After successfully breaking into the London
house scene, Marko craved more, and on a much bigger scale.
