PLAYBACK is a night where resident Da Vinyl MC and guests take things deeper;
journeying through album tracks of soul, funk, jazz fusion, disco or boogie. It's a session where we delve into the vaults of soulful house classics, tech house and brok'n beat or nu jazz and neo soul cuts that aren't considered chart toppers, but are all the rage to discnerning club dancers, music enthusisasts as well as being appreciated by our mid twenty-somethings crowd... As the temperatures continue rise in the UK there is no end insight to the nightlife of the capital quietening down, especially for the foray of bars cum clubs spotted around town. One of the more successfully established hangouts being Market Place in the heart of Oxford Circus is considered London's best kept secret. It's housed many a quality underground specialist night; its electic music policy also a refection of the diversity in its clientele that frequently packs out the venue. Talking Music Productions which is host of the monthly Playback event that is always is full to capacity is one such highlight at MP. Presently running for twenty months and led by DVMC aka DJ Marcia Carr who's gig has proved to be a popular crowd puller and includes many guests, a lot of them home grown like Rap Saunders (Soul Mates), Dez Parkes (Solar radio), Simon Lee (Faze Action), Lady M & M (push fm), Ronnie Herel (1 Xtra), Alan Russell (Black Vinyl Records) and upcoming talent Dante who are among the names that have made the Playback parties so special.
If this sounds right up your street make a break from the norm or mundane of bland clubs and join us, and be enthralled and prepared to lose a few pounds of sweat in the process!
We look forward to see you there the third Saturday of each month for the next Playback party. It's always a roadblock so get there nice and early - you have been warned!
You can catch Marcia Carr on Friday's on www.pushfm.com from 8pm-10pm - where dance music lives!
